questions ...

What style of photography do you use to photograph weddings?

Aimee Cohen uses a contemporary style of photography that steers away from the posed look (except for some of the formal family shots). The photography strives to capture the story of your wedding using a photojournalistic approach along with contemporary lifestyle poses. Emphasis is placed on spontaneous moments and fine details that help define your day.
How much time do we need to spend with the photographer before the wedding?
It is very important to build a professional relationship with clients before the wedding. This allows the photographer to understand the subtleties of the day. An engagement session helps with this process, which is why a special promotional session price is offered when contracted for a wedding. Sometimes this is not an option for clients, in which case a phone briefing before the wedding will take place.
What type of equipment do you use?
The photographer uses top of the line professional grade Nikon lenses and Professional Nikon D3 digital cameras to assure you that your images are sharp with a high resolution. All albums, prints and enlargements are made on traditional photographic paper from a professional photo lab. TIf properly stored, and displayed both Kodak and Fuji say that their prints will easily last 90 years or more.
How do I get my proofs after the wedding?
Proofs are organized and uploaded to a secure web site. You will also be provided with a digital slide show on disk.  This method has been chosen to cut down on your costs. Printed proofs come at an additional charge if desired.
What if my family and friends want to order pictures from the wedding?

By directing your friends and family to this web site where your wedding pictures will be posted, they can order prints.

How do I arrange photography for my wedding?

You will be given a list of wedding shots to choose from and can also add your own desired shots to assure all aspects of your wedding are covered. This is also where family dynamics and physical challenges can be discussed.
What if we want portraits of us taken before the wedding?
If you would like to have pre-wedding/engagement pictures taken beforehand, Aimee Cohen offers a discounted rate for the photography session of a $150, which includes (1) 8x10s or (2) 5x7. This presents a great opportunity to present your images at your wedding and to give people a glimpse as to what you are like as a couple. They also make fantastic gifts (i.e., a 5x7 or 4x6 sent in wedding invitations and thank you cards).
